Bearing installation
Bearing installation methods and technologies will affect the service life of a bearing and its performance; therefore, checking the dimensional tolerances of relevant parts and methods for installing fixtures and ensuring a clean working environment are important factors for determining installation efficiency.

Bearing installation should depend on the bearing structure and its suitability to the bearing parts. During installation, pressure should be directly applied to the ring end face and tightened slowly to fit, but not transmitted by the rolling element; otherwise, it will cause pressing damage on the rolling elements.

If the inner ring of the bearing and the shaft fit tightly, and outer ring and bearing bore fit loosely, first use a press machinery to press the bearing onto the shaft and then place the shaft with the bearing into the bearing bore. If the bearing and bearing bore fit tightly, and the inner ring and shaft fit loosely, then first press the bearing into the bearing bore. If both the inner ring and bearing bore fit tightly, then simultaneously press the inner and outer rings into the shaft and bore. For large bearings, a bearing heater can be used to heat the bearing or bore via thermal expansion to turn a tight fit into a loose fit, thus making it easier to install the bearing while avoiding damage to it.
